Traineeships

Aberdein Considine offers a diverse and challenging Traineeship.

What Do We Do?

We are often perceived solely as property lawyers, when in fact, we are a full-service law firm. We do have a large team of Conveyancing solicitors, however their caseloads vary from residential sales to commercial leasing. Our Trainees have the opportunity to work in our extremely successful Family, Corporate and Commercial, Criminal, Litigation, Lender Services and Wills, Trusts and Executries Departments as well as our recently established Employment Department.

What’s the Training Like?

We are a dynamic and forward thinking firm. We expect hard work and enthusiasm from all our Trainees but in return we strive to balance your training with an active work related social life.

Retention

At Aberdein Considine we know that the time spent training our Trainees is an investment. The majority of the current Partners and Associates trained within the Firm and so we view our Trainees as future Partners and Associates. There are no glass ceilings within the Firm and those with talent, drive and ambition will see these characteristics recognised at an early stage.

Deadlines

Applications should normally be made no later than 14th October in each year for Traineeships which normally start in the May of the second calendar year following submission i.e. approximately 18 months later.

How Do I Apply for a Traineeship?

Our recruitment process will usually take place approximately eighteen months before the anticipated commencement date of the Traineeship with our Traineeships usually starting in the May.

As a continually expanding firm we do sometimes require to recruit additional Trainees at any given time, and speculative applications throughout the year will also therefore be considered.

Applicants are to download our Online Traineeship Application Form [Word document - 84Kb] to apply for a Traineeship. Completed application, along with a covering letter, to be submitted as follows:

E-mail to Dave Mitchell, HR Manager (HR@ACandCo.com), or by post to:
