We are privileged to act on behalf of the majority of the UK's major banks and building societies. We are proud to deliver a consistently high standard of service which is regularly recognised and verified in our clients' own internal benchmarking exercises.
Our experience allows a depth of expertise that few other UK law firms can rival. We are constantly striving to evolve our Lender Services Department and have heavily invested in developing our bespoke Case and Matter Management Systems in order to maintain our position as market leaders.
Our philosophy is to provide cost predictability and outstanding service. We aim to recruit only the best quality staff and invest in them through specialist training in Possession Litigation, Possession and Remortgage Conveyancing and Asset Management.
The Department's success has been built on the quality of service and professionalism of our staff and we believe that in the legal business, this is second to none.
Our philosophy is simple. We are aware that our work is of a sensitive nature and that it must be carried out in an understanding but efficient manner. Our overwhelming objective is rehabilitation. We aim to interact with the customer in a courteous and professional fashion and assist in finding a solution to the arrears problem wherever possible. We recognise the need also to be flexible within our given authority matrix and view possession as the ultimate last resort. However, when rehabilitation no longer is an option and there is no alternative, we will proceed to possession and ultimately sale as expediently as possible.
Our lender conveyancing teams have gone from strength to strength over recent years. Our in-house designed bespoke I.T. solutions allow us to tailor our systems to our clients' specific requirements. Our expertise and software allow us to provide a seamless and rapid remortgage and possession conveyancing service for both lender clients and borrowers. Our highly trained solicitors and paralegals work closely with our clients ensuring all timescales/reports are met to their satisfaction.
Where, as a last resort, the remedy of repossession has been exercised we fully appreciate the need to obtain the very best possible market price as quickly as possible. As Scotlands leading residential property solicitors, we understand the Scottish property market. We have assembled what we believe to be the best surveyors, selling agents and tradesmen covering every postcode in the country. We actually manage our properties in possession. Benchmarking exercises consistently place us top in terms of selling prices at days to sale comparisons.
We recognise that unsecured debt recovery requires a different approach to that of secured debt. Often the speed at which we move dictates how successful our clients are at recovering. Our philosophy is to "strike while the iron is hot". Unsecured loan defaults often indicate financial difficulties and often sequestration or the signing of a Trust Deed is on the horizon. Whilst, if a shortfall is anticipated on sale, alerting the Borrower to this or moving quickly on sale vastly increases the chances of full recovery.
