Our specialist lawyers advise across more than 70 legal practice areas, including private client services (residential property and conveyancing, wills, trusts and executries and family law), corporate and business advisory, commercial real estate, dispute resolution, banking litigation and corporate debt recovery and employment.
We currently have the following opportunities available within our Private Client team:
- Private Client Solicitor (2-4 years PQE)
- Private Client Solicitor (4-8 years PQE)
The role will focus on delivering Wills, POAs and lifetime planning advice to clients, and offers genuine career progression opportunities.
Successful candidates will enjoy a high level of client and team interaction, assist with managing a varied caseload of Private Client work, and day to day duties will typically include meeting with clients, taking instructions in respect of and drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney and providing succession planning, asset protection and tax mitigation advice and services, along with handling the administration of executry and trust estates. We act for a range of clients, including individuals, trustees and executors from all over Scotland and beyond.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Private Client Solicitor qualified in Scots Law is essential
- The ideal candidate will have achieved or be willing to pursue STEP qualification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion and enthusiasm for Private Client work
- Adopts responsibility for proactively managing own workload, ensuring quality and responsiveness
- A team player, keen to share knowledge with less experienced members of the team but also keen to learn from colleagues and continue to build their own knowledge and personally develop themselves
- An ambitious, driven, personable individual who has the desire to make a Firm contribution
