Receptionist / Business Support Assistant

Location: Edinburgh
Position Type: Full Time / Permanent
Aberdein Considine are looking for a proactive, well presented individual with previous reception experience, with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. This role will be based at our Edinburgh Office and will involve providing support to the Partners and Solicitors on a day to day basis on key business requirements as well as being the first point of contact for incoming calls and emails to provide a level of customer service and client experience second to none.

  • Management of meeting room bookings and preparation/presentation of the facilities
  • Management of catering requirements for corporate clients and other meetings held
  • Highest level of customer service when greeting clients on arrival, secure sign in procedure and informing departments/staff of their client's arrival
  • First point of contact for all calls received on the main Edinburgh number
  • Setting up meetings, appointments, tracking referrals / leadings, liaising with members and answering queries.



  • Highers or equivalent in English and Mathematics
  • Highers or equivalent in IT
  • Highers or equivalent in Administration



  • Pleasant telephone manner and efficiency in relaying and taking messages

  • Computer literate and familiar with MS office packages i.e. Word, Outlook

  • Experience of prioritising workload and time management

  •  Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

  • The ability to work as part of a team

  • Flexibility and the willingness to learn

  • Approachable manner and calm under pressure

  • Previous Reception Experience
