Banking & Funding

Many leading banks, financial institutions, investors and businesses look to our banking and corporate lawyers for advice around structuring, negotiating and delivering secured and unsecured debt funding, asset finance, project finance, property finance and equity fundraising.

Our knowledge and experience of these markets enables our team to offer robust, informed and valued advice to our clients whether it be as lenders, investors, investee businesses or borrowers.

Our teams work collaboratively with the relevant stakeholders in any funding transaction to ensure that processes are streamlined and key milestones are prioritised, which in turn guarantees delivery on time and value for money.

Expertise

We have particular experience in advising banks and financial institutions on property finance and M&A matters including regularly advising on the Scottish aspects of cross-border transactions.

We regularly advise investors and investee companies on equity investments, including SEIS, EIS and private equity investments and have developed streamlined processes and suites of documents with a view to delivering these transactions as efficiently as possible.

Independent industry publication The Legal 500 recommends Partners Paul Jennings, Jacqueline Law and Ritchie Whyte and recognises the team’s experience in these areas.
