Aberdein Considine have opened a new office in Livingston and further plans to expand into the Central Belt have been announced.

Aberdein Considine have opened a new office in Livingston and further plans to expand into the Central Belt have been announced.

The official opening was performed by local MSP Angela Constance who is also Minister for Youth Employment.

Managing Partner Harvey Aberdein commented "We are delighted to announce the opening of our new office at Ochil House, Beveridge Square, Livingston. Our Contracting Division has been based in Livingston for over 18 months and it seemed a logical progression to add the full legal service to our offering. Both our litigation and corporate teams have been active in the area and the new office provides us with a suitable base from which to properly service our clients."

Mr Aberdein also announced the acquisition of new premises in Glasgow from where the firm intends to establish a further office in September.

"The depths of a particularly severe recession may seem to many an odd time to be expanding but we have had a vision to create a nationwide full service legal and financial practice for some time now and these hard economic times have meant that the right people and premises are available. We have recruited top class teams for both offices which have been training intensively in Aberdeen and are now equipped to take our level of service to the Central belt."

"There is another reason we are moving South. In recent years both Edinburgh and Glasgow firms have moved into our home territory here in Aberdeen so we felt it was time to repay the complement!"

A total of 12 full time staff have been recruited for both offices a number which will be supplemented initially and when necessary by existing expert staff.
