BOTH Kelly and David Beattie grew up in Ellon and felt it would be the perfect place to raise their own family. But with three young children and an energetic puppy, the couple are now looking for a home with a little more space.

Kelly, 31, said: “We wanted to live somewhere family orientated and there are a lot of young families here, which is great for the kids.”

Since moving into their four bedroom detached family home three years ago, Kelly and David, 36, have re-decorated throughout the property and put their own stamp on it.

Kelly, a full-time mum, said: “We wanted to have a fairly modern home and create something quite bright. The colours we chose opened up the place and gave it a family feel. “I really like the lounge as the patio doors can open up into the garden and it’s great for having a barbecue or watching the kids playing outside,” she added. The wide staircase and spacious hallway also proved to be a hit for Kelly and David, a mechanical engineer in the oil industry.

With a fully enclosed back garden, the spacious home is ideal for Kelly and David’s three children, Ella, six, Maisy, three, and Coby, who is just 18 months old. With golden labrador pup, Benji, having joined the family, the couple would like a bit more space to raise their kids and to let Benji run around in.

Kelly said: “It’s such a nice and safe neighbourhood and a nice place to bring up children.”

The couple will be sad to say goodbye to their home and friends nearby. Kelly added: “It’s a great family set-up here and our kids friends are here as well. “We’ve been really happy here, but we’ve sort of outgrown it and need a bit more space.”
