Position Type: Full time / Permanent

Aberdein Considine are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant. The individual must have excellent attention to detail and must past experience in the operation of Payroll. Candidates must work efficiently and previous experience within a similar role would be essential. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting with accounts payable including invoice processing & supplier payments
  • Assisting with the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports including year-end financial accounts, monthly management information and balance sheet
  • Responsible for processing monthly payroll and PAYE & NIC compliance.   Preparation/review of bank payments
  • Assistance with VAT returns
  • Assisting with reviewing and authorising bank payments.
  • Assistance with the preparation of partners tax reconciliations and tax adjusted current accounts
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including HMRC, Tax advisors, banks, partners and senior management
  • Liaise with accounting and tax advisors, providing them with year-end accounts information for the firm and other related entities

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Desirable

  • Studying an Accountancy Qualification (part qualified)
  • HNC or HND or University degree in relevant subject

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential
  • Experience in month end data processing, purchase ledger, and balance sheet accounting
  • Experience in operation of Payroll PAYE
  • Experience in preparation of VAT returns
  • Previous Experience in a similar role
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Adaptability
