Job Description

Our Lender Service team in Newcastle are looking for a Conveyancing Paralegal to join their busy team.

Position type: Full time / Permanent


ROLE OF DEPARTMENT
·        To provide a high quality, efficient and effective conveyancing service to our clients and customers
 
JOB PURPOSE
·        To deliver all duties relating to the remortgage of residential properties to a high standard together with exceptional client and customer service at all times, supported by full technical training and developmental opportunities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
·        Manage a caseload of remortgage transactions from the point of instruction through to completion and registration at Land Registry
·        Responsible for dealing with all technical aspects of each transaction including title checking and review of all relevant paperwork
·        Act pro-actively whilst organising and prioritising activities to ensure that all transactions are progressed in a timely manner and in line with agreed service levels
·        Provide excellent client and customer service when dealing with all interested parties to answer queries, provide updates and obtain information
·        Deal promptly and effectively with all internal and external communications and correspondence, supported by clear and concise responses
·        Ensure detailed telephone notes are recorded throughout the transaction so that a thorough case history is recorded
·        Maintaining the good order of case files to ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external requirements where applicable
·        Support and adhere to good practices including confidentially procedures and data protection requirements

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential
·        GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English with a minimum grade C
 
Desirable
·        Law or conveyancing focused qualifications
 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Desirable

·        Experience of working in a high volume/transactional environment and dealing with clients and customers
 

KNOWLEDGE

Desirable
·        Knowledge of conveyancing
