An exciting new position has become available within out Private Client team based across our Aberdeen / Stonehaven offices.
The successful candidate will manage their own workload of executry files with Partner and Solicitor support and will interact with clients on a regular basis i.e. taking instructions and explaining the executry process generally.
The role will involve dealing with the day to day aspects of the administration of estates such as investigating assets in executry estates and framing estate inventory / inheritance tax forms and explaining these forms to clients.
Realisation of estate assets, including obtaining payment of cash balances and transfer of assets to beneficiaries and the distribution of estates to beneficiaries are also key parts of the role.
You will have previous Legal office
experience (particularly in a paralegal or legal assistant role, ideally in a
private client context). You will also be expected to have a strong
understanding of the executry process. Excellent oral / written communication
skills and keen eye for detail would be essential for the role.
