Aberdein Considine are looking to recruit a Mortgages Operations Director within their Financial Services Division. This role will involve the organisation and management of the operational functions of the mortgage business. This will be done in such a way as to ensure that the firm’s client and service propositions are delivered in an efficient and robust way, whilst maintaining high levels of risk management, profitability and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
       Directly manage all mortgage-advising staff, including Training & Competency reviews and regular one to one meetings. To review all management information relating to Key  Performance Indicators
       Act as risk management officer for the firm and ensure that we comply with all relevant regulations at all times
       Be the first and main point of contact for all external mortgage and/or protection providers and suppliers of goods and services, and ensure that the firm receives the service contracted in a timely and cost effective basis
       Ensure that all client records, electronic or paper based, are maintained and updated to a high standard
       Produce management information for the Financial Services Director or Equity Partners and regulator as required
       Audit and ensure that the agreed client and service propositions are being fully delivered and implemented
       Develop and maintain operating budgets to ensure company profitability targets are met
       Review and develop procedures and templates to ensure that tasks are completed in an efficient manner
       Manage the recruitment and induction process for all mortgage related staff so as to ensure that only appropriately qualified and experienced staff fill the required roles



       Qualified to CeMap standards (or equivalent)

Skills & Experience:

  • Able to communicate and motivate via written media
  • Quick learner, able to take on and understand the environment we operate it, and the issues this raises
  • Planning and project management skills
  • Numerate and comfortable with basic accounting principles
  • Appreciates need for consistency within operations, especially PR and the Internet.
  • Experienced manager in a service focused firm
