Aberdein Considine are looking for a Post Completion Paralegal to join their busy Corporate Property Services department. This role will involve performing all conveyancing duties following completion of a remortgage transaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating and submitting ARTL applications for Standard Securities
  • Creating and submitting Standard Securities in hard copy form with appropriate Registers of Scotland submission forms
  • Creating and submitting all E Discharge applications
  • Drafting discharges and issuing to exiting lender for sign and return
  • Ensuring discharges are returned from lenders
  • Checking returned, executed discharges for accuracy before sending to Registers of Scotland with accompanying registration forms
  • Monitoring the return of all registered deeds and passing to the case handler for rectification
  • Processing all Registers of Scotland acknowledgements and notifications - saving these to the
    case management system and ensuring all relevant to do list entries are processed on the case management system
  • Distributing all incoming title deeds for the department. This may involve passing to the
    relevant case handler, customer, client or destroying. This may also include scanning to case management system
  • Filing and saving returned registered securities and other deeds
  • Responding to any requests for assistance on post completion queries from the clean and non standard remortgage team where reasonable and can offer support

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
Desirable
  • HND in Legal Services or BA in Law and Management

  • Ability to work under pressure within a face paced environment
  • Work well as part of a team
Desirable
  • Previous experience of working within a conveyancing environments with practical experience carrying out purchase, sale and remortgage transactions would be desirable
  • Knowledge of the legal process and requirements in residential conveyancing transactions
