Remortgage Case Handlers

We have an immediate requirement for two Remortgage Case Handlers to join our busy Corporate Conveyancing Team within our Newcastle office. The successful candidates will provide an end to end conveyancing service and perform all conveyancing duties relating to the remortgage of properties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES      

  • Opening cases from instruction and managing through to completion and registration
  • Taking responsibility of own case load and completing from start to finish. To include, opening the case on case management system, preparing documents for issue, drafting cash statements, reviewing returned documents from customers, ordering redemption statements and organising completion of case
  • Liaising with customers and where appropriate, mortgage introducers to provide assistance and updates on cases
  • Ensuring customers have an efficient, problem free journey through their remortgage transaction
  • Returning voicemails and emails within client SLA guidelines
  • Administration duties where appropriate – scanning, filing, receiving voicemails and distributing them
  • Saving HMLR Acknowledgements and updated title sheets to case history from the team mailbox
  • Clarifying and investigating, where appropriate any queries on title and confirming instructions on whether a case is non-standard and checking the case out accordingly
  • Where a complaint is made in relation to a case assisting with providing the Compliance Team with a full review of the case to allow a response to be drafted to the party making the complaint
  • Ensuring LSPG processes and procedures are adhered to at all times


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English with a minimum grade C

Desirable

  • All law or conveyancing based qualifications will be considered

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  •  Previous experience carrying out purchase, sale or remortgage conveyancing

Desirable

  • Previous high volume remortgage conveyancing experience

KNOWLEDGE

Essential
  • Knowledge of private client and corporate client conveyancing general procedures
Desirable
  • Familiar with the innovations and proposed changes to conveyancing in terms of digital progression
