Position Type: Full Time / Permanent (including evening & weekend work)

Aberdein Considine are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and organised individual to join our busy Lettings department located within our city centre branch. The successful candidate will receive training which will help them identify and develop business opportunities and help them become the main point of contact for landlord queries regarding the letting of the property and advise them of compliance requirements. They will also receive training which will allow them to negotiate tenancies with tenants on the landlords behalf.

  • Sell the advantages of our lettings service to potential Landlords
  • Obtain viewing feedback and communicate to clients
  • Identify viewers specific property search requirements
  • Highlighting the properties main features and encourage viewings
  • Identify other services that are relevant to the viewers situation and promote the benefits of using Aberdein Considine
  • Assisting the lettings team within the office dealing with general property enquires
  • Preparing lettings quotes
  • Creation of letting particulars
  • Arranging window displays
  • Supporting with inbound calls, e-mails and web enquiries
  • Sorting and distributing incoming post and organising/sending outgoing post
  • Erecting for let boards/posters
  • Logging Keys/Checking Keys held in the office
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining excellent communication with landlords and colleagues, including other departments
  • Assisting with representing landlords in negotiation with prospective tenants
  • Monitoring leases as they proceed and liaising with all interested parties
  • Keeping up to date with trends in the local leasing market
  • Identifying and developing any other business opportunities
  • Providing assistance to other Letting Advisers and management


  • Educated to Higher level or above
  • Relevant lettings qualification at Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) level 6 or above. Not essential, but will be when being considered for promotion from Trainee level.
