We have an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to start their career in the legal sector. The role of the Business Support Assistant will be to perform all the administrative and support duties within the Debt Recovery department. This is an apprentice level position position. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
This role has a number of key responsibilities and full training will be provided. The responsibilities will include:
  • Entering precise data quickly and correctly
  • Collection and allocation of mail to appointed team leaders/Solicitors within the department
  • Office administration duties; filing, scanning, ordering stationary
  • Organising all mail from the department to be signed by authorised firm signatory and prepped for postage
  • Delivering all internal and external mail to the mail room in the appropriate delivery trays at two points in the day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon to ensure all mail leaves the department on the day scheduled
  • Assisting with the receipt of new instructions - Data input of information on to case management system
  • Providing a support service on the telephone lines to assist Case Handlers. Dealing with basic customer queries and taking messages where appropriate
  • Filing of case specific paperwork correctly into the allocated case within the secure file room.
  • Providing support to the Customer Contact and Legal Teams, where needed, to handle post and printing tasks
  • Handling queries and issues, resolving them quickly and efficiently from customers, clients and third parties
  • Using various computer systems to create/update and maintain customer records accurately

ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has strong communication skills and has the ability to work both on their own and as part of team. The ideal candidate will have good computer and IT skills and excellent organisational skills too. The individual will also need to be adaptable as the role will involve them supporting numerous teams and managers.
