The Leasing Industry has recently been described by Shelter as akin to the “wild west”. It is therefore important for landlords to be confident the agent they have chosen to lease and manage their most important asset is fully legally compliant, with professionally qualified staff looking after their interests.
At Aberdein Considine we adhere to the highest standards of accountancy practice. All solicitor firms are subject to strict regulation by the Law Society of Scotland but as a leading Scottish Law Firm, we set our own standards of practice at the highest level. We pride ourselves in ensuring that our staff are fully trained and qualified in their own individual practice areas.
Aberdein Considine have become one of the first solicitors firm’s to put their property management staff through the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFoPP) exams allowing them to become individual members of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA).
The 6 employees, based at the firm's Bon Accord Crescent offices in Aberdeen, are all Property Factors who are part of the team who have responsibility for managing the firm's ever increasing portfolio of private rented properties throughout Scotland.
Katy Neithercut, Martin Kingdon, Tracey Turner, Colin McWilliam, Rebecca Ward and Andrew Williamson have all achieved the NFoPP Technical Award for Residential Letting and Management Scotland. As such all became eligible for membership of the ARLA, an option which they all exercised, joining Leasing Manager, Adrian Sangster, who has been a member for over 10 years.
Michael Sinclair, Senior Property Partner of Aberdein Considine, said "It is testament to the hard work and commitment of our employees that they want to be recognised as amongst the best in their industry.
These qualifications, in addition to our Accredited Letting Agent status with Landlord Accreditation Scotland, are further evidence of our firm’s commitment to adhere to the highest of standards, and demonstrate to landlords and tenants that our management practices are amongst the highest in the country".
