Edinburgh Property of the Week (6th August 2022)

Edinburgh Property of the Week (6th August 2022)

Each week we spotlight a property that has been really turning heads.

This week's Edinburgh property of the week goes to:

9/2 East Terrace, South Queensferry, EH30 9HS

Situated in the heart of South Queensferry with views towards the Firth of Forth is this beautifully presented first floor flat with exclusive gardens. The property offers spacious accommodation and perfectly blends contemporary living with traditional charm.

With gas central heating the property is decorated in fresh neutral tones throughout and early viewing is essential to fully appreciate this unique home along with the lovely gardens and fantastic setting. The accommodation includes an entrance hallway with feature stained glass entrance door and there are two cupboards.

The lounge enjoys a quiet position to the rear of the property with double French style doors leading out to the rear garden. With vaulted ceilings, wood floor and a skylight window this bright room is on semi open plan with the kitchen which in turn features glass block windows. The kitchen is fitted with modern base and wall units with oven, hob, hood, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.

There are two good d double bedrooms, both with storage and completing the accommodation is the bathroom with three piece white suite with shower over the bath. Externally there is an exclusive garden to the rear which is separated into two main levels. The first level is a lovely patio with stone walling and steps lead to the upper garden which is mainly laid to lawn.

Instantly recognisable, nestled at the feet of the Forth Road and Rail bridges and the newly opened Queensferry Crossing, South Queensferry is located within excellent commuting distance of Edinburgh. The twisty narrow roads of the town’s High Street are a reminder of the town’s historic past as a popular trading and fishing port. The town’s eclectic mix of buildings make it a fascinating place to wander around, with the Tolbooth and ancient church of St Mary’s, which dates from the 15th century. The town is not just a good place to visit, however; South Queensferry boasts several primary schools and a secondary school, and a diverse range of restaurants, bars, and cafes. Just south of the town, there has been investment in retail provision, with a supermarket, and popular restaurants.
