Aberdein Considine support 2018 Elevator Awards

The 2018 Elevator Awards took place last night at the Mercure Ardoe House Hotel at Blairs, near Aberdeen.

Over 400 guests attended the event, which saw eleven individuals and firms recognised for their business achievements, including Andy Willox, the former Scottish Policy Convener of the Federation of Small Businesses in Scotland who received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Aberdein Considine sponsored the Business Success under 3 years category which was won by Fierce Beer, who are led by Dave Grant and David McHardy.  The firm has opened a bar in the city and exports to 14 countries around the world. Last year, Fierce Beer won the Most Promising New Business award.

Among the other winners, Jeanette Forbes, chief executive of Aberdeen based tech firm PCL Group won the Entrepreneur of the Year award and Charlie House won the Enterprising Communities Award.

A total of 27 finalists were shortlisted for the event, with the winners including start-ups and a range of businesses from different sectors.

Ritchie Whyte, Senior Corporate Partner, Aberdein Considine said: “It was an honour to support the Elevator Awards and a privilege to see and hear from some of the finest business talent in the region.

Many congratulations to Fierce Beer in winning the Business Success under 3 years category and indeed to all those who entered, and all of the finalists and winners.

The Elevator Awards are a vital element of the business calendar and it’s crucial that we recognise and celebrate the success of the local business community.
