Two new podcasts to help employers navigate Covid-19

Aberdein Considine's Employment Law team has launched two new podcasts to help employers navigate Covid-19.

The implications of the pandemic have been far reaching – and there is no getting away from the fact that it has hit businesses hard.

In these podcasts - which are available to download from your favourite podcast store - our legal experts examine the key issues and offer some advice to business owners and HR teams dealing with workplace management.

Podcast 1 - Home Working

The first major change was the home working revolution, which our team examine in-depth in podcast one.

As the workplace extends into millions of UK homes, what are the pitfalls employers need to be aware of? Find out here.

Podcast 2 - Changing Employee Terms & Conditions

As the furlough scheme approaches its conclusion in spring, many businesses are looking to cut costs wherever possible – whilst trying to avoid having to make people redundant.

One way has been to look at employee terms and conditions to reduce hours, increase flexibility where there is fluctuating work levels and, in some cases, reduce pay or benefits.

However, there are strict procedures which must be followed. Find out more in our second podcast...
