AFTER herself growing up in Newmachar, Kelly Caird has found it is the ideal place for her and husband Barry to raise their own family.
But it’s not just the village that ticks all the right boxes – the couple were also drawn to the quiet cul-de-sac location of the lovely home they bought 11 years ago.
Kelly, 36, said: “We have close friends who moved back here, my parents live here and Barry’s aren’t too far away, so we have quite strong links.”
Since moving in, the couple have welcomed the arrival of their son Aedan, who is seven-and-a-half years old, and their daughter Orlaith, 14 months.
“We love the quiet cul-de-sac and we know our son can go outside and play on his bike safely,” Kelly added.
The family home is in great condition and Kelly and Barry, 40, have replaced all the windows and doors, as well as re-decorating to tailor the place to their own tastes.
The soft colours throughout are perfect for creating a warm and welcoming home which is ready for new owners to walk into.
“We’ve done a lot of entertaining in there and it’s just a really nice family room.”
With built-in wardrobes in two of the bedrooms and a large cupboard under the stairs, storage is not an issue for the family.
The south-facing garden catches the sun all-year-round and is an ideal space for children to play in.
