Today we're getting to know Connor, financial expert based in Edinburgh.

Connor's story

I am a Mortgage & Protection adviser based at our Elm Row office in Edinburgh.

I joined Aberdein Considine in April this year for the opening of the new branch having built up almost a decade of experience within the Financial Services industry. I started off in retail banking and have expanded my knowledge to cover the whole of the market to provide advice and guidance to those seeking to buy their first or next home or those looking for the best deal on their current mortgage.

1. What do you like most about working and living in Edinburgh?

I enjoy working and living in Edinburgh as it’s such a diverse community of people and cultures. Leith Walk in particular is home to people from all over the world, students through to retirees, which makes for some really interesting chats!

2. What's your favourite property on the market? 

76 Merchiston Avenue has amazing potential and it's within walking distance of Edinburgh city centre.

3. Describe yourself in three words

Knowledgeable, determined, ambitious.

4. What did you want to grow up to be when you were little?

A fighter pilot in the RAF.

5. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I have two daughters who I love spending time with. I also enjoy playing guitar and attempting to keep fit at the gym.

6. What's the most important lesson you've learnt?

With humility and ownership you can fix anything.

7. Tell us something nobody knows.

I have an embarrassing tattoo on my foot.
