Meet Dundee's property, legal and financial experts

Following the appointment of our new Tayside Partner and our expansion into Dundee, we wanted to introduce our dedicated team of property, financial and legal experts based in our new office in Dundee City.

Lindsay Darroch

Lindsay is a partner with Aberdein Considine and leads the firm’s offices in Dundee and Perth.

He specialises in property law but also advises both business and private clients across a range of legal disciplines, including wills, power of attorney and estate planning.

The 48-year-old was previously a Partner at a Dundee based law firm, where he worked for 20 years, a role which included eight years on the board of the Tayside Solicitors Property Centre.

He is widely-regarded as a leading property expert and acts for a wide range of clients including private individuals, developers and property investors across the wider Tayside region.

He is also a trustee at DFC in the Community Trust, a board member at Caledonia Housing Association and Clerk & Boxmaster at The Nine Incorporated Trades of Dundee.

Lindsay, who joined the firm in 2019, regularly features in the Scottish media on property and legal matters.

James McKay

Having worked in the estate agency business for over 23 years in both the English and Scottish markets, James is one of Perth and Tayside's most experienced property professionals.

He has been an estate agency branch manager for over 18 years, and possesses an unrivalled knowledge of the region's housing markets.

He offers expert advice on property marketing campaigns including valuations, marketing tactics and professional sales campaigns to ensure the best possible sales outcome for every client.

He is also an expert in the home report system and property purchasing, advising all types of purchasers from first time buyers to experienced investors.

Susan Clark

Susan is a member of Aberdein Considine’s Financial Services team and is based in our Perth and Dudnee offices.

An independent mortgage and protection adviser, Susan specialises in securing the best outcome for every client; be it a first time buyer, a remortgage client or a home mover.

Prior to joining Aberdein Considine in 2005, Susan enjoyed a successful 18 year career in financial services with a major high street bank and has over 30 years' experience in the financial industry.

She can access more than 3,000 mortgage products from major high street lenders and can usually obtain a decision in principal while you wait.

Ryan Fox

Ryan is a Partner in Aberdein Considine’s Stonehaven and Dundee offices.

He specialises in wills, trusts and executries, as well as providing advice on a wide range of private client matters including estate administration, tax planning and asset protection.

Ryan trained with Aberdein Considine after studying at the University of Aberdeen. He qualified in 2008 and became a Partner in 2016.

Sam Goult

Sam is an Independent Financial Adviser based in Perth and Dundee and is a member of the Personal Finance Society.

He joined Aberdein Considine in 2019 after working for 16 years in a variety of customer facing banking and trading roles in London.

Sam specialises in Retirement Planning, both accumulating wealth and taking an income, as well as tax efficient Investments and Estate Planning.

He works closely with the solicitors and the property staff to provide valuable advice to clients who are going through changing circumstances.
